The Outback Trail Commission (OTC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and was established in 1997. The Outback Trail Commission and it’s members are voluntarily committed to the maintenance and construction of trails on the Outback Trail at Imagination Glen Park in Portage, IN.

 

Since OTC is located in a city park, many assume this trail system is taxpayer supported. In truth, while the city provides invaluable assistance by allowing us to use public land, the trail is entirely financed, created, and maintained by volunteer efforts organized by the Outback Trail Commission.  We are an independent organization that provides and maintains all building supplies, tool purchases, and administrative costs such as web-hosting.  We raise money for our activities through sponsoring events, club memberships, and donations.
